I Want To Buy More Books!

It's been 40 days since my self- imposed hiatus from buying books. 40 days. Jesus Christ walked in the dessert without food for 40 days. Josh Hartnett's character abstained from sex in the movie 40 Days, 40 Nights. I put a stop to my addiction in buying books for 40 days.
 
Sometimes, A and I would meet up in the mall. He'd tell me to meet him in front of Powerbooks. I'd chuckle to myself. Didn't he know it was impossible for me to wait for him outside the bookstore... or any bookstore for that matter? I simply have to go inside and browse through the shelves. Often, I'd make a mental list of the books I want to buy. Yet I stopped myself from reaching one and tucking it into my arms,  even though I knew that in a few days, the books will belong to someone else and it would take a while before the bookstore replenishes its stock.
 
Now my hands are itching to buy more chick lits. Here are the list of authors whose books I wanna read/ complete collecting:
 
Madeleine Wickham (aka Sophie Kinsella)
Meg Cabot/ Meggin Cabot (except for the Princess Diaries series, of course)
Lisa Jewell
Marian Keyes
Louise Bagshawe
 
I'm pretty sure this list is going to grow longer.

i too am in love with books. i buy and read constantly. i go through phases of telling myself "okay, no more buying! just borrow from the library!" but then eventually...i go back to my old routine....

I get really depressed whenever I go to Powerbooks. Nevertheless, i still go. Hhahaha! There are so many books that I want to buy but can't. Huhuhuhuhu!!!!

books are my ultimate luxury! pag yumaman ako, i'll bring a shopping cart to powerbooks and just buy to my heart's content. sigh.
